Snorkel with Sea Turtles at Turtle Canyon

Turtle Canyon, located just offshore from Waikiki, is one of Hawaii's most popular snorkeling spots. Hawaiian green sea turtles (honu) are regularly seen here, along with colorful reef fish and coral formations.

Our Turtle Snorkel Sail with Lunch takes you to Turtle Canyon aboard the Spirit of Aloha for a 2.5-hour adventure that includes sailing, snorkeling, and an individualized sandwich lunch served on board.

What to Expect

You'll depart from the Hilton Pier at 10:30am and sail to Turtle Canyon. Once anchored, the crew helps you gear up — snorkel fins and vests are provided on board, and sanitized snorkel and mask sets are available if you don't bring your own. Expert crew members are in the water to assist.

You'll have plenty of time to explore the reef and look for turtles. After snorkeling, climb back aboard for your individualized sandwich lunch with unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and two complimentary bar drink tickets per adult (additional drinks available at $1 beer/$2 mixer). Keep your eyes open — whales are visible December through April.

Adults are $149.95 and children are $99.95. The cruise operates daily except Wednesdays, from 10:30am to 1:00pm. Snorkel fins and vests provided. Bring your own mask and snorkel, or sanitized sets are available on board. Lunch and drinks included.

Check in at the Port Waikiki Cruises kiosk near the Hilton Pier 20 minutes before departure.

What to Bring

Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, and a camera (waterproof if possible). Bring your own snorkel and mask if you prefer, or use the sanitized sets we provide on board.

Will I actually see turtles? Hawaiian green sea turtles are regularly spotted at Turtle Canyon. While wildlife can never be guaranteed, the site is known for frequent turtle activity.

Do I need snorkeling experience? No experience required. The crew provides orientation and in-water assistance. Snorkel vests are available for anyone who wants extra comfort.

Is this appropriate for children? Yes, children are welcome with a paying adult. Child pricing applies.

What if I don't want to snorkel? You're welcome to stay on board, enjoy the views, and have lunch while others snorkel.

How does this differ from the Turtle Reef Snorkel & Sail? This tour includes a full sandwich lunch and departs in the morning (10:30am). The Turtle Reef Snorkel & Sail is an afternoon departure (1:30pm) with single serve snacks instead of a full lunch.
